UT/02a - Char Dham Itinerary with Gaumukh: Ex-Delhi

Expert Speak - This is a fixed departure Itinerary ex-Delhi. Guests traveling to this area prefers fixed departures. Guests looking to do a bit of a leisurely itinerary must opt for a customised trip.

Indicative Itinerary

  • Day 01 - Delhi To Haridwar 210 kms - Assemble at the Nizamuddin railway station. We start our yatra to Haridwar.

  • Day 02- Haridwar - Barkot.230 Kms (Drive 7-8 Hrs) - Depart from Haridwar early morning and have lunch enroute at a predetermined restaurant on the way. Restart your journey and reach Barkot in the evening after visiting Kempty Falls on the way. On arrival check in The Chardham Camp (Yamunotri). The Camp is located 1 km ahead of the Barkot town on the Yanunotri road. Diner and over night at The Chardham Camp (Barkot)

  • Day 03- Barkot-Yamunotri -Barkot. (Drive 32 kms, trek 14 kms round). After an early breakfast leave for Hanuman Chatti (Drive 32 kms) to start your journey. Take a local jeep to rach phool chatti to shorten your trek by 5 kms. On arrival start a tough trek of 7 kms one way. Arrive at Yamunotri and pray at the temple. Take a holy achman to start your most sacred piligrimage to The Chardhams. Return to Phool Chatti in the evening & proceed to The Camp for dinner. Relax with an Ayurvedic Massage at the Lodge. overnight at The Chardham Camp Barkot.

  • Day 04 Barkot -Harsil (Drive 152 Kms 6-7 hrs) - After a relaxed breakfast leave for Harsil, a drive of 152 kms. Enroute stip at Uttarkashi for Tea/ Coffee and lunch at The Chardham Camp (Maneri), Uttarkashi. On the way stop at Gangnani for hot water spring dip. Restart to reach Harsil (One of the most beautiful valleys in the world and reach The Char Dham Camp set amidst an apple orchard in Dharali village 2 kms away fro Harsil cantonment in the valley on the highway itself. On arrival check in 7 Proceed for dinner. overnight The Chardham Camp (Harsil)

  • Day 05 Harsil _Gangotri -Harsil (Drive 22kms one way) - After breakfast leave for Gangotri and on arrival take a holy dip in the sacred River Ganges, also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform the Pooja and rest in the lovely surroundings. Return to the Camp in the afternoon for Lunch & Relax in the bright sunshine and some of breathtaking views of the valley beautiful. Leave for Uttarkashi. Arrive at The Chardham Camp (Maneri), Uttarkashi in the evening. Enjoy and evening Bonfire & Dinner. overnight at The Chardham Camp (Maneri ) Uttarkashi.

  • Day 06-Harsil - Gangotri - Gaumukh- Bhojzbassa- ( Drive approx 22 kms one way and approx 18 kms trek). We move early in the morning after having breakfast to gangotri and towards Gaumukh which is approximately a 18 kms trek. Overnight would be at bhojzbassa.

  • Day 07 Bhojbassa- Uttarkashi - After the over night stay at bhojbassa we depart early in the morning to our camps at uttarkashi, over night stay at Uttarkashi.

  • Day 08 Uttarkashi- Guptkashi 283 Kms. (Drive -10 Hrs) - After a very early breakfast leave for the longest journey of the yatra by road. Lunch (Paked) and Tea/ Cofee en route at Srinagar . After lunch restart your journey and fest your eyes for the first time at the beautiful Mandakni River . Travel along this lovely stretch to reach Guptkashi late in the evening. On arrival check in The Char Dham Camp (Guptkashi) located 2 kms from the twon towards Gaurikund. Dinner and overnight The Chardham Camp (Guptikashi)

  • Day 09 Guptakshi-Kedarnath (Drive 32 kms , Trek 14 kms) - After breakfast , carry a packed lunch & Proceed to Gaurikund (A 32 kms drive on Way) . On arrival start your journey on a touch trek. Stop for the lunch en route and arrive late afternoon. On arrival chek in Punjab & Sindh Awas. After refreshing, perform Pooja & Darshan at Shri Kedarnathji. In the evening, one must visit Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi at the rear of the temple. Dinner and overnight at Punjab & Sindh Awas.

  • Day 10 Kedarnath- Fuptkashi (Trek 14 Kms, drive 32 kms). After breakfast start you journey back to Gaurikund and on arrival leave for Guptkashi by road to reah The Chardham Camp by evening. Relax with an Ayurvedic massage. Dinner and overnight at The Chadham Camp (Guptkashi)

  • Day 11 Guptkashi- Joshimath Via Chopta 175 kms (6-7 hrs) 
    After breakfast leave for Joshimath via Chopta (One of the most beautiful sites in the whole trip. Enjoy the beautiful drive through the thick medicinal forest and stop at Pipalkoti for Tea/ Coffee and Lunch (Packed). Arrive at The Chardham Camp (Joshimath) by late afternoon. Evening free in Joshimath. Dinner and overnight at The Chardham Camp (Joshimath)

  • Day 12 Joshimath- Joshimath-Badrinath-Joshimath Drive 90 kms) - After breakfast leave for Shri Badrinath Ji, on arrival do the holy darshan and visit Mana Village (Last Village Before Tibet Border). Return to The Camp for dinner and overnight at The Chardham Camp (Joshimath).

  • Day 13- Joshimath Haridwar 274 kms. (Drive 9-10 hrs). After breakfast leave for Haridwar. Lunch enroute at Srinagar . Time permitting visit Devprayag (Confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi, to become Ganga ). Reach Haridwar in the evening for your onward journey.

  • Day 14- Haridwar - Delhi - After over night stay at Haridwar depart for Delhi 

Seasonality - May-Oct is the season for Chaar Dham Circuit. Exact date of opening and closure of the circuit varies every year.
