Located in the heart of the Middle East, Jordan is a popular destination for heritage travellers. For most travellers, Jordan is synonymous with the ancient Nabataen city of Petra. Beyond Petra, Jordan is a country with a rich heritage dating back to prehistoric times, a country of rocky canyons, golden desert, the Dead Sea, and ancient cities.

Visa, Season and Access

Visa: Visa on arrival for Indian nationals for a maximum stay of 2 weeks if they are holding US$ 3000 or equivalent. Otherwise nationals of most other countries require to obtain visa from one of the Jordanian diplomatic missions.

Season: The best time to visit Jordan is in spring between March and May, when the temperatures are mild and not scorching, and most of the winter rains are over. Spring is also a good time to visit since the winter rains have turned the country lush green with wildflowers. Autumn (October-November) too is a good time to visit Jordan when the summer heat has cooled down and the winter chills have not yet begun. Summers are dry and hot in Jordan, with some areas sizzling up to 45 degree Celsius. Winters
