Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is an island off the south-eastern cost shores of India, 880 km north of the equator, in the Indian Ocean. It enjoys tropical weather all through the year with May-July being the monsoon months when it rains a bit.

Climate / Weather 

  • Low Lands – tropical, average 27 degrees celcius 

  • Central Hills – cooler, with temperatures dropping to 14 degrees celcius. 

Seasonality : The south-west monsoon brings rain to the western, southern and central regions from May to July, while the north-eastern monsoon is from December - January. Sri Lanka climate is ideal for holiday-makers throughout the year.

Access: Colombo is the International Airport and a point of access for the entire Sri Lanka. From here guests travel to other parts of Sri Lanka by taking a road journey. Sri Lankan Airways provides best connectivity from India or via UAE. For approaching Male (Maldives) as well Colombo is a good transit option.

Visa: Visas can either be on arrival or pre-approved. Residents from permitted countries are issued visas on arrival however other country nationals have to get them pre-approved.
