A Short-break typically comprises a short-duration travel of upto 6 nights which falls short of the average duration for a typical tourist itinerary for the sector. Short-break is a concept where idea is to spend time leisure, recreation and a bit of exploring around rather than undertake hectic sightseeing and monument hopping exercise.

Feasibility of a short-break depends on the access point, Transport mode (train and flight availability) and availability of the resorts selected.  

A typical short-break is not planned as well in advance as a holiday itinerary would be and undertaken during non-holiday season or mid-season.  A short-break can also be considered by honeymooners if time on hand is limited.
