Route - Agra (2 nights) - Jaipur (2 nights) - Ranthambore (2 nights)

Highlight - This is a short-break tourist itinerary for North India  that covers two major destinations Agra (Taj Mahal, Agra Fort) and Jaipur (Forts and Palaces) alongwith Delhi. This is the most visited Itinerary in India by overseas tourists.


Day 01: Delhi -Agra (approx 200 kms/ 4hrs) - Arrive Delhi airport and transfer to Agra. Arrive & check-in at hotel. Overnight at hotel

Day 02: Agra - After breakfast, proceed for half day sightseeing tour visiting Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays), Agra Fort and Itmad-ud-Daullah. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel

Day 03: Agra -Fathepur Sikri -Jaipur (approx 200 kms/05 hrs) - After breakfast, depart by surface to Jaipur enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikhri.Arrive & check-in. Overnight at hotel

Day 04: Jaipur - After breakfast, proceed for full day sightseeing covering Amer Fort (Optional Elephant ride at Amber Fort), Jantar Mantar (Observatory), photo stop at Hawa Mahal and City Palace. Overnight at hotel

Day 05: Jaipur -Ranthambore (approx 200 kms/4 hrs) - After breakfast, depart by surface to Ranthambore. Arrive & check-in. Afternoon Jungle Safari. Dinner & Overnight at hotel

Day 06: Ranthambore - Early morning jungle safari. Return to hotel for breakfast. 
Afternoon lunch and proceed for safari. Dinner & Overnight at hotel

Day 07: Ranthambore - Sawai Madhopur railway station (approx 15kms) OR Jaipur (approx 180 kms /2 hrs) - Early morning transfer to Sawai Madhopur railway station for train to Delhi Or Late morning transfer to Jaipur airport for the onward journey

Variations / Off the Beaten Track   

  • Chambal Ravines - 80 kms South of Agra is an exciting destination for spotting Crocodiles, Gangetic Dolphins and Migratory Birds.

  • Guests may opt for Fort Madhogarh instead of Jaipur stay. Fort Madhogarh offers an experiential stay that involves Camel rides and Jeep Safari to the village, Half day Camel/ Horse/ Jeep Safari to the Tunga battle field, cenotaphs and step wells, bird watching etc. Cookery lessons in Rajasthani cuisine are also available on prior request.

Extensions
  • Chambal Safari can be part of the itinerary given 1 or two extra days and The Taj still can be visited as a day visit enroute from Delhi to Chambal Safari.

  • Give an additional night, Jaipur to Delhi Sector can be done via Shekhawati region (Known for its Frescoed Havelis). Surajgarh Fort is a very good option here considering that its only 175 km from Delhi.
