In Bhubaneswar :

• Lingaraja Temple - this 11th century temple houses a 147 feet high tower dominating the landscape. The presiding deity is the Svayambhu Linga - half Shiva, half Vishnu. There are 150 shrines in the compound.

• Mukteshwara Temple - This 10th century temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is famous for a well which is said to cure fertility problems.

• Rajrani Temple - this 11th century is famous for its ornate duel, or compass, decorated with some of the most impressive Oriya temple architecture and has no presiding deity.

• Brahmeshwara Temple - temple houses a living deity, which is indicated by the saffron pennant flying from the top of the sanctuary.

• Ananta Vasudeva Temple - dates back to the 13th century and houses idols of Balarama standing under a seven hooded serpent, while Krishna is seen holding a mace and a conch.

In Puri :

• Jagannath Temple - This 65 meter high 12th century temple was built by Chodaganga. Here Jagganath (the lord of Universe) is worshiped with his elder brother Balabhadra and his younger sister Suvadra.

In Cuttak :

• Gurudwara Guru Nanak Dattan Sahib - Guru Nanak Devji stayed here on his way to Puri and so a Gurudwara was constructed in his memory.

In Konark :

• Sun Temple - Sun Temple here (30 kms from Puri ) is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site
