Jyotirlinga : Jyotirlinga are set of 12 Shiva Temples spread all over India and considered holiest for Shiva devotees. Trimbakeshwar near Nashik
Bhimashankar, Off Pune and Grineshwar near Ellora caves are three temples in Maharashtra.

How to Visit : These three temples are best visited as a part of Itinerary (ex-Pune or Ex-Mumbai) as depicted under:

Day 1: Start from Mumbai to Trimbakeshwar (About 150 kms and 200 kms from Pune).  After darshan reach Aurangabad by evening (About another 200 kms).
Day 2: Start from Aurangabad for Grineshwar near Ellora Caves. After Darshan proceed to Shirdi (144 kms from Aurangabad). Shirdi Sai Baba Temple Darshan in the evening. Overnight at Shirdi 
Day 3: From Shirdi visit Bhimashankar. Bhimashankar is about 150 kms from Shirdi and 130 kms from Pune or 220 kms from Mumbai. 

Optional Extension : Aundha Nagnath Temple near Nanded is also considered as a Jyotirlinga Temple. Above Itinerary can be modified further (by adding 1 more night) to include Aundha Nagnath Temple. Guest can also visit the famous Gurudwara at Nanded alongwith Aundha Nagnath Temple.
