In Palitana

  • Palitana Temples - situated on a Shatrunjay hilltop, Palitana has over 863 temples, built in the 11th and the 12th century and are carved in marbles. It is said all the Jain Tirthankars, excepting Neminath, had attained nirvana here. Some of these temples have a fabulous collection of jewels, which can be seen with special permission.

  • Angar Pir (Muslim Shrine) - is situated on the Shatraunjay hilltop. The childless women seek the Pir's blessings to be blessed with children.

In Dwarka
(Lord Krishnas temporal Kingdom) -

  • Dwarkadish Temple - is dedicated to Lord Krishna, is 78.3 mts high and is built on 72 pillars. Vajranabha, Lord Krishna's grandson built the temple. The Jagat temple, which forms the sanctum of this temple, is at least 2500 years old.

  • Nageshwar Mahadev - is one of the 12 sacred Lord Shiva shrines - Jyotirlingas in an underground sanctum.

Veraval / Somnath - Somnath Temple : (47 kms from Keshod) - is one of the 12 sacred Lord Shiva shrines - Jyotirlingas in India. It is said - the Moon (Soma) with his wife Rohini worshipped the deity of the temple, the Sparsha Ling, to free himself from the curse of his father-in-law. Lord Shiva pleased with his penance restored his light for half of the month.

Ambaji Temple : (60 kms from Palanpur) - is the seat of Goddess Amba, situated on the Arasur hill in the Aravali Range. The temple does not contain any idol; it only has a yantra engraved in a rock.

In Gandhinagar :

  • Akshardham- set in a 23-acre plot; this temple has a 1.2 tonne gold-plated idol of Lord Swaminarayan. The wisdom of the Vedas, the epics, the Puranas is depicted on a canvas.

In Dakor :

  • Ranchhodraiji Temple - built in 1772 A.D.; this temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

In Shamlaji 

  • Shamlaji Temple - Krishna temple at 140 kms from Ahmedabad on the Udaipur Highway

In Ahmedabad :

  • Jumma Mosque - built in Sultan Ahmed Shah in 1423/1424 AD. It stands on 260 pillars all carved from Hindu and Jain traditions, supporting 15 domes at varying elevations.
