Route - Satpura(2) - Pachmarhi(3)

Highlight - This is an ex-Bhopal short break itinerary that covers wildlife reserve of Satpura and hill station of Pachmarhi. Satpura is a tiger reserve and offers excellent birding and wildlife sightings (Park open Oct-June). Pachmarhi (2500+ ft asl) is an all-season destination offering a relaxed ambience and a hill station feel. 

Suggested Itinerary (This is an indicative itinerary, Sequence of the activities may vary and depend on prevailing weather condition and guest preferences)

Day 1 : Arrive at Bhopal (Airport) and Proceed to Satpura (150 kms - 4 hours). Alternatively guests may arrive at Pipariya and proceed to Satpura (2 hours). Evening Park Safari.
Day 2 : Morning and Evening Park Safaris.
Day 3, 4 and 5: Leave for Pachmarhi (About 100 kms) after Morning Jeep Safari and breakfast. Reach by afternoon. Either relax at Pachmarhi and take long walks and do boating or go for sightseeing around the Pachmarhi which is known for its waterfalls and several temples / view points..
Day 6: Proceed to onward journey either from Pipariya (Railway station at 46 kms) or Bhopal (Airport at 200 kms)  

Extension: 

• Heritage city of Bhopal, Bhojpur / Bhimbhetka pre-historic Caves (46 kms) a UNESCO World heritage site and Stupas of Sanchi (46 kms from Bhopal) can be visited given 1 or 2 additional nights.

Note:

• Budget travellers may choose Tawa or Delawadi instead of Satpura.

• Wildlife enthusiasts may extend stay in Satpura. 

Accommodation Option - Pench - Pachmarhi - Bhopal

Seasonality - Oct-May is a good tine. Pachmarhi and Satpura is situated at a height (2000+ ft asl) and so weather is ok even in Summer (April, May)
