Route - Kanha(3) - Bandhavgarh(3)
is a Short break / Wildlife itinerary that covers to best parks in the country
for tiger sightings i.e. Kanha and Bandhavgarh. Jabapur is an excellent base point
/ access point for accessing both the parks.
Itinerary (This is an indicative itinerary,
Sequence of the activities may vary and depend on prevailing weather condition
and guest preferences)
1 : Arrive at Jabalpur and Proceed to Kanha (165 kms - upto 5 hours).
2: Morning and Evening Jeep Safaris.
Day 3: Morning and Evening Jeep Safari.
Day 4: After Breakfast Leave for Bandhavgarh (265 kms- 6 hours).
Day 5 and
and Evening Jeep Safari.
Day 7: Leave for Umaria (32 kms) / Katni (100 kms)
/ Jabapur (200 kms) for Onward Journey.

idea is to access Kanha from Nagpur then Pench can be considered for 1 night stay.
If idea is to access
Bandhavgarh via a flight to Khajuraho then Panna can be considered for 1 night

Oct-March is a good time weather wise. It gets real cold and foggy in
end Dec - Jan and so days when its gets foggy and cold, sighting is not as
good and also its tough getting out in early mornings for a safari.
Feb-April is drier and therefore easier to spot birds. Lesser waterholes and
therefore easier to find wildlife around them. Oct-Dec is greener. April-May
are hottest of all months but that's when wildlife photographers arrive.
Less tourists, less waterholes and so sightings are very good. Migratory
birds are spotted during Oct-March period but best duration within that is
