• Parassini Kadavu Muthappan Temple : This temple on the banks of the Valappattanam river, is one of the important pilgrim centers of Kerala. 

• Payyambalam Beach: Just 2mts. from the down town you can reach this beautiful unspoiled long beach. 

• Bekkal Fort: 1 Hour and 30 mts. away from Cannanore this fort is of great historical and archeological interest.

• Elimala: 40 mts drive north of Cannanore, Elimala is situated at a height of 885 ft. with an isolated cluster of hills.

• Boating in Valapattanam lake: Boating facility in normal fishing boats in the Valapattanam lake is a wonderful thing to do in Cannanore.
