Features
: Panhala is a quaint hill station (3000 ft) at 25 kms from Kolhapur on the
Ratnagiri Highway. Amboli is a quaint little hill station (2700 ft), 25 kms from
Sawantwadi on the Konkan Rain route known for its good weather through the year
and numerous waterfalls during monsoon season (June-Sept). Dandeli is a forest
reserve and a tropical rain forest known for its White water rafting and other
adventure activities and Jeep safaris.

Itinerary
Day
1 : Reach Kolhapur (either by Train or by road NH 4 (Mumbai-Bangalore
Highway via Pune) and from there reach Panhala (25 kms). Day sightseeing
within Panhala covering Ambarkhana (fort), Sajja Kothi (1008 AD, Heritage Home),
Sambhaji Temple, Someshwar Tank
Day 2: Day sight-seeing to Kolhapur covering Mahalaxmi Temple, Rankala
lake, New Palace Museum, Town Hall and near by places such as Jotiba Temple, Radhanagri
Dam and Narshimawadi Datta Mandir.
Day 3: From
Panhala reach Amboli (120 kms). Visit various points / waterfalls (seasonal) of
Amboli during the day. Day 4:
Leave for Dandeli (120 kms). Do Nature walk, coracle ride in the evening.
Day
5: Leave early morning for Jeep Safaris. Return before breakfast. Bird watching
in the evening.
Day 6: Leave early morning for White water rafting. Leave
after breakfast.
