Detailed
Itinerary (Can be modified as per guest preference)
Day
1 : Take a straight road from Mumbai to Trimbak and then eventually settle
at Nashik or Shirdi for the night. Mumbai to Trimbakeshwar is about 3 hours - 150
kms. Route
you can take is Nashik Road and take a diversion just before Nashik. From Trimbakeshwar
you can go to Shani Shinganapur Temple (120 kms) and from there on to Shirdi (70
kms). Overnight at Shirdi. Day
2: Darshan
at Shirdi and then proceed for two Ashtavinayak temples off the Pune road, Ozhar and Lenyadri.
Enroute to Pune take a detour for Bhimashankar (50 kms), a Jyotirlinga temple.
From Chakan take a bypass to Ranjangaon for the Ashtavinayak temple and
then overnight either at Ranjangaon or at Pune. Day
3: Next day from Pune Start for 4
Ashtavinayak temples. Theur, Siddhtek and Morgaon. This is a circle of
about 250 kms and will take full day. Overnight
at Pune / Ranjangaon
Day 4 : Next day from Pune Start for last 2 Ashtavinayak
temples of Mahad (Pune - Mumbai highway) and Pali (Khopoli Pali Route) from there you take
NH-17 straight to Mumbai via Panvel. A lot of devotees of the
ashtavinayak rule revisit the first temple that they visit at the end. So in this
case you can go from Mahad to Lenyadri via Karjat/Murbad/Malshej and then from
there look to come back to Mumbai via Igatpuri or via Kajat. Note:
-
For those arriving late afternoon it may be required to stay overnight
in transit before starting this itinerary. We can recommend transit stay
option based on time of arrival.
-
Transport Ex-Mumbai can be arranged with drivers who know the route
pretty well.
Access
: Mumbai is well connected with rest of India by Rail and Air and is one
of the two major arrival points (alongwith Delhi) for those coming into
India. Pune is well connected with most major cities in India by Rail and
Air. Nashik Road / Manmad are connected by Rail with Southern and Northern
Rail routes. Shirdi itself is a station now and gets trains from Mumbai.
Nashik Airport gets odd flights from Mumbai. Seasonality
- This circuit could be done all round the year. Temples get local
visitors coming on Sundays and devotee numbers multiple during holiday
season (Deewali, Christmas, Long weekends and Summer Vacation) and
therefore its important to provide more time for Darshan during
these. During rest of the periods temples are easy to access and devotees
can spend more time praying / meditating. Please
