Rajiv
Gandhi national Park is known for its population of Wild
Elephants and wild variety of Wildlife including Tigers,
Leopards, Wild Dogs and Crocodiles and a wide variety of
birds. Nagarahole is 700 sq
kms of area comprising of semi-deciduous and scrub jungle,
this game park is also the vanguard of Project Elephant &
Project Tiger.
Sight Seeing Options:
Bylekuppe is the second largest Tibetan settlement
outside Tibet, complete with a Tibetan monastery with 7,000
monks, a Tibetan village and a flea market. It is 50 kms from
our place, an ideal evening getaway.
Irupu waterfall near Kutta is 40 kms drive.It is great
sight during monsoon.
Gurupura is a another Tibetan settlement . Dalai lama
visited this place in 2005. They provide evening snacks for a
couple at Rs.15 , an rare opportunity to know about Tibetan
culture.
Mysore : Famous city of Mysore is just 65 kms where
Mysore Palace, Chamundi Hills, Lalith Mahal Palace etc. are
worth a visit.
