KE/04 - Malabar Circuit - North Kerala 

Route : Wayanad (2) - Nagarhole (2) - Coorg (2) - Bekal Beach (1)

Highlights - This itinerary combines best of what is popularly known as the "Malabar Circuit". Circuit combines North Kerala Beaches, Coorg Plantations, Nagarhole wildlife and Wayanad Rainforest. The circuit is green and non-touristy and therefore very popular with honeymooners, getaway seekers and those who want nothing of the touristy experiences.

Recommended Itinerary (Can be customised as per guest preferences)

 

  • Day 1: Arrive Calicut - Arrive Calicut & transfer to Wayanad. Vyhtiri (approx 65 kms) / Kalpetta (approx 80 kms) / Sultan Battery (approx 100 kms). Arrive and check-in at the hotel. Day free at leisure. Overnight at hotel

  • Day 2:  Wayanad - After breakfast, proceed for full day sightseeing tour (Sightseeing places will depden on the location of the stay). Overnight at hotel

  • Day 3: Wayanad – Nagarhole (approx 100-120 kms/ 3-4 hrs) - After breakfast depart by surface to Nagarhole. Arrive and check-in at hotel. Afternoon Jeep Safari (Timings 03:30 PM onwards). Dinner & Overnight at hotel

  • Day 4: Nagarhole - Morning enjoy coracle ride. Return to the hotel for breakfast.
    Lunch at the hotel. Afternoon Jeep Safari.     Dinner & Overnight at hotel

  • Day 5: Nagarhole – Coorg (approx.120 kms / 3 hrs) - After breakfast depart by surface to Madikeri/ Kushalnagar/ Kutta. Arrive and rest day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 6 Coorg - After breakfast, proceed for full day sightseeing tour. (Sightseeing places will depend upon the stay location). Overnight at hotel  

  • Day 7: Coorg– Nileshwar (approx 70-90 kms / 2 hrs)- After breakfast depart by surface to Nileshwar. Arrive and check at hotel. Day free to explore the region. Overnight at hotel

  • Day 8: Bekal –Mangalore (approx 150 kms / 3 hrs) - After breakfast, depart by surface to Managalore airport (approx 150 kms) OR take a train to nearest railway station. 

Notes: 

  • Above is a recommended itinerary, sequence of the activities may vary and depend on prevailing weather condition and .

  • Additional 2 nights stay at Calicut (either at Kadavu Resort or Beaches nearby Calicut (Kappad or Malappuram) also can be considered for relaxation. 

  • Ooty / Murumalai / Bandipur can be added in between Wayanad and Nagarhole for additional 1 or two nights.

  • Bekal / Nileshwar can be added for two nights before or instead of Mangalore stay. Bekal is a fort and a beach and is home to a beach camp and a two heritage homestays. Nileshwar is a backwater canal network and has a resort and an overnight houseboat service for guest to opt for.

Access : Mangalore and Calicut gets select flights from UAE countries. Mangalore and Calicut gets flights from Bangalore and Mumbai. Calicut Railway station and Mangalore railway stations are on the Coastal rail route and well connected with most cities in South India and Mumbai.
