Kenya

Kenya and Tanzania are two major tourist destinations in East Africa known for its wildlife, Beaches and birding etc.

Kenya is regarded by many as the ‘jewel of East Africa', and has some of the continent's finest beaches, most magnificent wildlife and scenery in a rugged backdrop, and an incredibly sophisticated tourism infrastructure. Between these extremes is the acacia-studded rolling savannah, which is home to game parks such as Amboseli, the Masai Mara, Samburu and Tsavo; the lush, agricultural highlands with their sleek green coat of coffee and tea plantations; and the most spectacular stretch of the Great Rift Valley, the giant scar across the face of Africa.

Climate (Kenya) : Variation in Altitude and Terrain create contrast in the climage. While Coastal plains are hot and humid, Highlands are pleasant. There are two rainy seasons. The short rains normally occur from late October through November and the long rains from March through to early June. There is hardly ever disruption in Safaris on account of rainfall. Being on or around equator its not unusual to see clear skies in mornings and rainfall in afternoons / late evenings after a warm day.

Migration : The best time to see the migration is usually between June and August when the wildebeest congregate and prepare to cross the famous Grumeti River. There are a few excellent camps in this area where you can stay to witness this natural phenomenon. If you are in the Masai Mara you can expect the wildebeest to make their arrival as early as July, but they generally arrive between August and September and remain in the Mara between October and November. Between December and January the wildebeest gradually begin their migration back towards the Serengeti.

Access: Nairobi is the best and most popular point of access for Kenya and Tanzania. From here guests can fly to other parts of East Africa or take a road journey. For only Kenya Itinerary, a Road journey ex-Nairobi is recommended (unless one is only doing Masai Mara). For Tanzania one has an option to Fly in from Nairobi or cross the border by Road.

Visa: Visas can either be on arrival or pre-approved. Yellow Fever vaccination is a must to be taken 7-days before arrival date.
