Religious Itinerary 

These set of itineraries are generally planned for pilgrimage tours and guests looking for specific group of Temples. 

Most commonly visited Group is:

  • Chaar Dham - Which is part of Uttaranchal and Covered under one pilgrimage Itinerary

  • Jyotirlinga Temples - These are Shiva Temples (12 Temples across the country) and considered the holiest and must visit for the Shiva devotees. 

  • Shakti Peeths - There are a sub-set of 51 important centres of Shakti worship located all over the Indian sub-continent.

  • Divya Desams - The 106 temples (shrines that were sung about by divine saints) in South India

  • Krishna Temples - There are Krishna temples all over India such as Mathura/Vrindavan, Gujarat (Dakor, Shamlaji, Dwarkadhish),  Rajasthan ( Shrinathji, Khatushyamji), Kerala (Varkala, Ambalapuzha, Guruvayoor) etc.

  • Buddhist Circuit - (Aurangabad, Varanasi, Sarnath, Gaya, Bodhgaya etc.)

  • Jain Circuit - (Gujarat ex-Ahmedabad, Karnataka Ex-Mangalore etc.)

There are quite a few regional temple circuits as under which could be mixed alongwith with any Itinerary or can be considered as an independent circuit on their own:

  • Ashtavinayak - (Set of eight Ganesha Temples around Mumbai/Pune (Western India) to be visited together as a part of a pilgrimage)

  • Temples of Coastal Maharashtra - Coastal Maharashtra i.e. Western India Coastline Starting just 100 kms South of Mumbai till Sawantwadi (50 kms before Goa) is full of Ancient Lord Ganesha (Some Self-incarnated or "Swayambhoo") and Lord Shiva Temples, that are still steeped in ancient traditions and rituals and quite a few having excellent shore front location)

  • Temples in and around Kangra Valley in North India - Regions in and around Kangra Valley (comprising Dharamsala, Palampur, Kangra etc.) are famous for its Jwalamukhi, Chintpurni, Chamunda Devi Temples and are visited as a two day ex-Delhi trip or as a part of North India religious Itinerary

  • Temples in and around Mangalore / Udupi and Coastal Karnataka - Mangalore / Udupi is an excellent base point for a quite a few significant and well known temples (e.g. Kukke Subhramanya, Sringeri Mutt, Udupi Krishna Temple).  [ Photo Gallery ]

  •  Ancient Temples in and Around Goa - Its a little known fact that Goa is also known for its wonderful set of Ancient temples spread all over Goa and are well visited all round the year.  [ Photo Gallery ]

  • Temples of Kerala - Besides its backwaters, plantations and beaches, Kerala is also known for its set of ancient temples (e.g. Guruvayyoor Krishna Temple, Manjunatha Swamy Temple at Trivandrum, Ambalapuzha Krishna Temple etc.) and Churches. 

  • Tamilnadu Temple Circuit - Tamilnadu region in South India is home to a large number of ancient temples towns which are now a major tourist destinations and visited for its religious as well as architectural significance by Indian as well as overseas tourists. (e.g. Kancheepuram, Chimdambaram, Navagraha Temples near Kumbakonam, Thnajavur / Trichy, Rameshwaram, Madurai Meenakshi Temple etc.).   Lady of Vailankanni Church, South of Nagapattinam is an extremely significant and well-visited Church from devotees all over the world.

  • Bhubaneshwar - Puri - Bhubaneshwar and Puri in eastern state of Orissa are two destinations visited for its Temples (Lingaraja Temple, Jagannath Temple, Konark Sun Temple etc.)

  • Dwarka  - Somnath - This is an extremely popular combination in Gujarat, in Western India done ex-Ahmedabad or via a direct train from Mumbai. Dwarkadhish is a major Krishna Temple while Somnath is a Shore temple and also a Jyotirlinga Shiva temple.

  • Shiva Temples in Kumaon Region - Kumaon region in Uttaranchal State (Now renamed as "Uttarakhand") is known for its ancient Shiva temples which can be best visited as a part of an Itinerary.
