Detailed Itinerary

Day-1 Arrive at Baindur Evening Activities Arrive at Baindur by afternoon for Lunch. After Lunch enjoy activities in the resort such as Kayaking, Coracle Ride etc.

Day-2 Guided trek to Waterfall. Evening visit to beach around Sunset After breakfast, guided trek to waterfall (3 kms walk one way). Return for Lunch. After lunch visit Someshwara Beach (20 minutes) in evening.

Day-3 Visit Murudeshwar, Jog falls and Maravanthe backwaters Early breakfast and morning departure to visit to Murudeshwar (31 kms), Jog Falls (93 kms). Return by Lunch time. Afternoon visit to Mookambika Temple (40 kms) and Maravanthe beach (30 kms) and backwaters. Boat ride in Maravanthe. Return by evening for dinner.

Day-4 Departure after morning Nature walk Nature walk in and around the resort. After Breakfast depart for onward journey.

Baindur :

  • Temples of Baindur - Sri Someshwara temple is one beautiful shore temples located near Baindur. Sheneshwara is a Lord Shani temple at Baindur which is prominent.

  • Someshwara Beach - Someshwara beach is an idyllic beach stretch of about 1 km overlooking Arabian Sea. The area is renowned for its Brahminy Kite population and Ancient Someshwara Temple right on the shore overlooking Arabian Sea.

  • Mookambika Temple Kollur - Temple of Mookambika Devi is one of the Seven Muktisthala pilgrimage sites in Karnataka. Mookambika temple is very significant in south India and visited especially for Vidhyarambha a ceremony / ritual for the initiation of children into literary world (before they start schooling).

  • Murudeshwar Beach - Murudeshwar beach is a popular well visited beach. It is visited by locals and pilgrim travellers to Murudeshwar Shiva Temple.

  • Murudeshwar Temple - Murudeshwar Beach is characterised by a huge towering statue of Lord Shiva, part of the Murudeshwar temple complex. It is the third highest statue of Lord Shiva in the world. This is build on a rock face and is nothing short of a man made wonder. The temple adjacent to the statue is also equally imposing that includes a 20-storied 237 ft tall Gopura.

  • Jog Falls - Jog Falls is created by the Sharavathi River falling from a height of 830 ft, making it the second-highest plunge waterfall in Asia after the Nohkalikai Falls with a height of 335 m in Meghalaya making it a major creation.
