Nesting in the
foothills of the Mighty Himalayas, the Corbett Tiger Reserve (Uttaranchal,
India) lies mainly in the hilly districts of Nainital, Almora and
Pauri Garhwal. At present the Corbett Tiger Reserve covers an
area of 1318.54 Sq.Kms. and includes within it the Corbett
National Park Corbett tiger reserve is perhaps one of the very
few national parks in India, situated here is Camp Fork Tail
Creek where one can stay in the heart of the reserve.
Camp Forktail Creek has 12 luxury safari styled tents with attached semi tiled toilets with running cold water - hot water is supplied in the mornings and evenings in buckets. The tents are raised on wooded platforms with a private sundeck to each
one. The Thatch, is the dining and lounge area built out of grass and wood locally. Around the thatch is the Campfire pit and barbecue area, which provide for campfires and barbecues after
sundown. Being a forest camp, we discourage the use of electricity - instead
lanterns and oil lamps are used in the nights.
