The best way to understand Pompeii is to walk the site. Pompeii's best-preserved dwelling is the House of the Vetti, the home of a wealthy merchant, Odeon: the theatre, the temple of Jupiter and temple of Apollo. The city has an excellent water system through the reservoirs supplying water to every household and public baths through the force of gravity. There were beautiful fountains that graced every corner of the city. The museum in Naples offers the best peak into the art of Pompeii.

A recommended must-visit to the island of Capri, a short boat ride from the coast of Naples. Feel the cool Sea Breeze on your face while you admire the turquoise and emerald hues of the sea with waters so clear you will feel you are touching the sea bed. You can stop for a refreshing dip near the Li Galli islands, grab lunch in one of the area's waterfront restaurants. Do not miss a visit to the Blue Grotto: a boat ride into the caves that make it mystical with the sound of Neapolitan songs and blue shimmering lights.
