Kasauli: (Himachal Pradesh)-303 kms North of Delhi. Kasauli, located 6400 ft. above the sea level, is in the Shivalik Hills. It was developed as a cantonment, after the British had based themselves at Simla. Naukuchiatal
: (Uttaranchal)-305 kms North-East of Delhi. Naukuchiatal, the lake with nine corners. This place is cradled by green mountains, orchards and dense jungles that surround it. Apart from boating and fishing on the lake, one can walk around the lake, with nature as the companion.

 Almora: (Uttaranchal)-374 kms North-East of Delhi. Almora, the horseshoe shaped town, was founded by Raja Kalyan of the Chand dynasty in 1560 AD. Traces of the old Chand fort, paved roads, wooden houses with beautifully carved facades and homes decorated with traditional 'alpapa' murals still reflect Almora's pride in its heritage. Swami Vivekananda lived in a cave just outside Almora, where he was inspired to carry his message all over the world.
