Chitvan
is a Luxury Jungle Lodge at Kanha (Madhya
Pradesh, India). The Lodge is apread over 14 acres
at 3.5 km from Mukki Gate and gives an experience of Luxury and sensuality with a unique
feel that blends with the surrounding countryside. The
surrounding hills are wooded, and the open grassland in front
is interspersed with some Sal trees, whistling thorns, and
some scrub and 5 acres of Vegetable Garden for organic
farming.
Kanha's
sal and bamboo forests, rolling grasslands and meandering
streams stretch over 940 sq km in dramatic natural splendour
which form the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve created in 1974
under Project Tiger. The park is the only habitat of the rare
hardground Barasingha (Cervus Duvaceli Branderi).

Birds
of Chitvan : About 125 avian species have made Chitvan
their home, take a binocular, sit quietly in your courtyards,
and observe the day in the life of birds of Chitvan. Flocks of
Egrets display beautiful patterns while landing and taking off
from trees close to you. Paddy bird in the paddy fields,
Crested Serpent Eagles on the water body close by,
Kingfishers, Indian rollers, Golden Orioles, and Minivets are
commonly seen around.
