MTDC Tarkarli Beach Resort located at Tarkarli beach near Malvan (Maharashtra, India) in the Sindhudurg district of the Konkan Region (Coastal Maharashtra).

Tarkarli is a small village situated 6 kms south of Malvan and 470 kms away from Mumbai and now a tourist attraction thanks to the MTDC Resort. The major attraction here is the long and narrow stretch of beach, with its pristine water. 
On a clear day, you can see the sea bed through a depth of 20 ft. MTDC has also initiated efforts here to start a scuba diving centre.

You can visit the Sindhudurg Forts, Singhudurg, one of Maharashtra's more popular and importance sea forts, built in the 17th century and the famous Padmagarh fort.

In Tarkarli, one can enjoy the delectable cuisine, variety of sea-food and staying in MTDC's Konkani Huts.

Tarkarli has now started houseboats where guests can enjoy Kerala style overnight houseboat in backwaters of the area
