Detailed Itinerary

Day-1 Depart for Mysore, Mysore Sightseeing Depart for Mysore, en route visit Chamundi hills, Mysore Zoo and Mysore Palace. Reach Brindavan by evening. Walk across to the famous Brindavan Gardens and KRS Dam in the evening.

Day-2 Depart for Hassan via Srirangapatna. Hassan sightseeing Proceed with packed lunch to Hassan. En route visit Srirangapatna’s famous historical site, ‘The Gumbaz’ (Tippu Sultan’s tomb) and Sangama which is the confluence of three tributaries of River Cauvery. Visit Halebid / Belur Temples. Reach Hassan by evening.

Day-3 Departure Visit Ramanathpur Temple, Gorur Dam, Shettihally Church and Mosale Hoysala Temple before departure.

Detailed Sightseeing

Hassan :

  • Mosale Temples - Mosale is set at 10 kms from Hassan. Mosale is home to 12th century Hoysala architecture temples. Temples here are dedicated to Nageshwara (Lord Shiva) and Chennakeshava (Lord Vishnu).

  • Shettihally Church - Shettihally Church was built by the French missionaries in 1860, the Shettihally Church was abandoned during the construction of a Hamavathi reservoir and now is submerged in the waters and seen during Summer when water is less. Its a popular spot for tourists to arrive for some photos.

  • Gorur Dam - Gorur Dam is set at 25 kms from Hassan. It is a dam constructed across River Hemavathi having two temples Yoganarasimha and Paravasudeva situated nearby. The dam is 58 meters in height, and 4600+ meters long forming a reservoir of 8500+ hectares.

  • Hoysaleshwar Temple Halebidu - Hoysaleswara temple is a 12th century Lord Shiva temple in Halebidu. Temple has been restored and is a major tourist attraction for its temple architecture. Visited by International traveller all round the year.

  • Ramanathapura - Ramanathapura is one prominent pilgrimages of Karnataka. The town is set on River Cauvery and is also called "DAKSHINA KAASHI" or Kashi of the South. Prasanna Sri Subramanya Temple, Sri Rameshwara Temple, Sri Agasteshwara temple, Sri Pattabhi Rama Temple are some of the most prominent temples of Ramanathapura

Mysore :

  • Mysore Palace - Mysore palace is one of the most famous tourist attractions in India after Taj Mahal with more than 2.7 million visitors. The architectural style of the palace is commonly described as Indo-Saracenic but it is a blend of many other architectural styles. The palace is surrounded by a large garden. The palace is 3 storied and entry fee is required to enter. Tourists are not allowed to take photographs inside the palace. Every autumn, the Palace is the venue for the famous Mysore Dasara festival with the elephant procession on Dussera day being the most sought after event.

  • Mysore Zoo - Mysore Zoo (officially the Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens) is a 245-acre zoo located near the palace in Mysore. It was established under royal patronage in 1892 making it one of the oldest zoos in the world. It is home to a wide range of species and one of the major tourist attractions.

  • Chamundeshwari Temple - The Chamundeshwari Temple is an ancient Devi temple (12th - 17th Century) located on the top of Chamundi Hills. The temple is impressive from an architectural sense and considered a pilgrimage destination being considered one of the 18 main Shaktipeetha temples.

  • Brindavan Gardens - Brindavan Garden is a large garden next to the Dam built on cauvery and a major tourist attraction. The main attraction of the park is the musical fountain in which bursts of water are synchronised to the music of songs. There is also a lake within the garden with boating facilities available for visitors

  • The Gumbaz - The Gumbaz is a mausoleum built by Tipu Sultan in Srirangapatna, as a tribute to his father Hyder Ali and later even his and his family members tombs were added to it. Gol Gumbaz is a fine piece of Islamic architectural style.
