Detailed Itinerary

Day-1 Arrival Bhubaneswar Arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport/Railway station.Visit the ancient temples like Lingaraj-the biggest temple in Bhubaneswar, Mukteswar, Rajarani & 64 Yogini temple (Yogini sculpture having 64 different hair style & one of the four Yogini temple in India). Evening aarti darshan at modern Ram temple.

Day-2 Bhubaneswar-Konark-Puri  Proceed to Puri. En-route visit through Dhauli Buddhist shanti stupa, Pipili appliqué work village & market, Sun temple at Konark (the UNESCO World heritage monument), Chandrabhaga beach. Later in the evening visit to the temple of Universal God, Lord Jagannath (One of the four Dham). Spent few times inside Jagannath temple and have darshan of all the god & goddess of Jagannath temple premises. Evening leisure at golden beach Puri.

Day-3 Puri-Bhubaneswar  You may go for the morning aarti/Witness the sunrise at golden beach Puri. Post breakfast visit Bedi Hanuman temple, Sonar gouranga temple, Shree Gundicha temple, Bata mangala temple. Later proceed to Bhubaneswar, en-route visit Raghurajpur artisan village, Sakhigopal temple. On arrival, visit Khandagiri & Udaigiri Jain caves, Tribal museum. Later visit ISCKON temple.

Day-4 Bhubaneswar-Kolkata  Transfer to Bhubaneswar railway station / airport for Kolkata. On arrival at Kolkata, half day city tour covering Howrah bridge(drive pass), Belur Math (H.Q of Ramakrishna Mission), Dakhineswar Kali temple, The house of Rabindranath Tagore (campus of Rabindra Bharati University). Later visit the British Colonial Area (well known as Dalhousie square where we see Raj Bhawan, General Post Office Building, Kolkata High Court, Kolkata Town Hall, Writers Building etc. (drive pass). If time permits visit to Victoria Memoria (the best building made by the British in India, which was inaugurated on 1921 by Prince of Wales in memories of Queen Victoria. Closed on Monday).

Day-5 Excursion trip to Gangasagar  After breakfast full day excursion trip to Ganga sagar and back to Kolkata. Car will drop the guest at Harud Point. From there they have to cross the river Muriganga by boat & from another end of the river local cars will be available to take them up to Sagar Island & back on spot payment. Our drivers will help the guest to board the boat to cross the river & will wait at the Harud Point for their return. On their return, the same car will pick them up & will drop at Kolkata.

Day-6 Kolkata departure  Post breakfast visit to Kali temple (Kalighat), a Shaktipeetha temple and Birla temple before departure.

Bhubaneswar :

  • Raja Rani Temple - Raj Rani Temple is an 11th century ancient temple and renowned for its architecture. There is no presiding deity and therefore no pujas are offered here.

  • Mukteswar Temple - This is a 10th century temple decorated with intricate carvings and is regarded as a fine example of Kalinga architecture.

  • Lingaraja Temple - Impressive 11th-century Shiva temple and a well-visited temple for its architecture and its pilgrimage significance.

  • Jagannath Puri Temple Complex - Jagannath Temple is established in the 12th century and is one of the major pilgrim centres in India. The main temple of Jagannath is an impressive structure constructed in Kalinga architecture, with a height of 65 meters. There are number of temples are a part of the temple complex. Kanchi Ganesha Temple, Narasingha Temple (11th Century. 58 high), Vimala Temple (13th Century. 60" high), Lakshmi Temple (12th Century), Surya Temple (17th Centuty and 63" high),Mukti Mandap (1578 AD, 16 pillared temple) etc are temples that are visited by the pilgrims.

  • Konark Sun Temple - Konark Sun Temple is a 13th century Sun Temple. The temple is one of the most renowned temples in India and is a World Heritage Site. It is considered one of the Seven heritage Wonders of India. The Sun Temple, built in the thirteenth century, was conceived as a gigantic chariot of the Sun God, with twelve pairs of exquisitely ornamented wheels pulled by seven horses. Quite a bit is still intact and therefore a delight for any heritage traveller.

  • Chilika Lake - Accessible from Puri (50 kms from Satpara), Chilika Lake is is the largest coastal lagoon in India and the second largest lagoon in the World. It is the largest wintering ground for migratory birds on the Indian sub-continent.The lagoon hosts over 160 species of birds in the peak migratory season.

Kolkata :

  • Howrah Bridge - Howrah Bridge on river hooghly connects Kolkata to Howrah and is a real colonial era architectural marvel.

  • Kalighat Temple - Kalighat Temple originally built in the 12th century, is regarded as one of the 51 Shakti Peetha. Kalighat temple is located at one of the crowded and less happening areas of Kolkata.

  • Dakshineshwar Kali Temple - The Dakshineswar Kali Temple is a Hindu temple near Kolkata situated on the eastern bank of the Hooghly River. The temple is impressive and well visited by pilgrims all round the year.

  • Gangasagar Pilgrimage - Gangasagar Island lies 150 km south of Kolkata. The island is a renowned Hindu pilgrim place. Every year on the day of Makar Sankranti (mid of January), thousands of Hindus gathered to take a holy dip in the confluence of Ganga and offered puja at Kapil Muni Temple. The entire event is popularly known as Gangasagar Mela. Gangasagar is visited by guests otherwise rest of the year as well.
