Detailed Itinerary

Day-1 Arrive at Cochin. Proceed to Fort Cochin. Evening Walk around the Heritage Bylanes. Visit Greenix Village.  Arrive at Cochin and Proceed to Fort Cochin (45 kms - 1 hr). Fort Cochin is a charming heritage corner of Cochin visited for its heritage character, Arabian Sea views, Chinese Fishing nets, charming heritage bylanes and heritage hotels. Evening Walk in heritage bylanes of Fort Cochin visiting Church and Jewish Synagogue. Visit Greenix village for evening performances of traditional dance forms of Kerala.

Day-2 Proceed to Alleppey boat Cruise Jetty. Alleppey round houseboat cruise Proceed to Alleppey houseboat Jetty (65 kms - 1.5 hr). Reach before 12 noon. Alleppey is renowned for its lakeside and backwaters and character and what gives Kerala the name "Venice of the East". Alleppey round of Houseboat Cruise. Overnight stay in Alleppey.

Day-3 Explore Alleppey - Sightseeing in and around Alleppey Get dropped at a Backwater Resort in Alleppey by 9:30 AM. Guests have an option to explore Alleppey beach / Marari Beach, Temples in Kottayam / Alleppey area, Churches in Alleppey area or just explore lakeside and backwaters around the area.

Day-4 Proceed to Thekkady. Elephant ride in the evening. Proceed to Thekkady (140 kms - 3.5 hrs). The route takes one through one of the most spectacular drives around the Rubber plantation area of Kottayam, Churches and luxury planter homes built on ethnic lines. Thekkady is a spice plantation area surrounded by Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and visited for its salibrious climate, plantation backdrop and activities around Periyar reserve forest. Late afternoon visit to Spice garden (Cardamom, Pepper, Cinnamon, Vanilla) alongwith visit to Elephant Junction for the elephant experience (elephant ride).

Day-5 Proceed to Munnar. Afternoon sightseeing. Proceed to Munnar (130 kms - 3.5 hrs). Munnar (5000+ ft asl) is a tea plantation region and a renowned Hill station in the plantation highlands of Kerala offering guests an experience of misty & salibrious climate and a relaxed stay around the tea plantations. Evening explore local market for shopping and visit Mattupetty Dam for boating.

Day-6 Sightseeing around Munnar Explore around Munnar to Visit Kannan Devan Tea Museum and Attukal Waterfalls (8 kms from Munnar).

Day-7 Travel to Athirapally. Experience waterfalls Travel to Athirapally (140 kms - 4 hours). Rest of the day walk around / experience spectacular views of the waterfalls.

Day-8 Departure Depart to Cochin Airport (50 kms) for onward journey

Alleppey :

  • Backwaters of Alleppey - Kuttanad Backwaters in South Alleppey is what gives Kerala Venice of the East tag. Day cruises / hourly boat rides are popular and available from Alleppey jetty. Guests seeking an experience either opt for overnight houseboat or Kayaking tour.

Athirapally :

  • Athirapally waterfalls - Athirappilly Falls is a renowned Waterfalls (80 ft) on the Chalakudy river, which originates in the upper reaches of the Western Ghats. This area is the only place in the Western Ghats where four endangered Hornbill species are seen and is otherwise excellent for bird watching.

Cochin (Fort Cochin) :

  • Greenix Village - A craft village at Fort cochin that offers a wide ranging live performances. A visit here is very popular with guests to Fort cochin.

  • Jewish Synagogue Fort Cochin - Jewish Synagogue at Fort Cochin was built in 1568 and is the oldest synagogue in the Commonwealth of Nations.

  • Matancherry Palace - Mattancherry Palace known as the Dutch Palace features Kerala murals depicting Hindu temple art, portraits and exhibits of the royal family of Kochi.

Munnar :

  • Kannan Devan Tea Museum - Kannan Devan Hills Plantations Company Private Limited (KDHP) is the largest tea conglomerate in South India. Tea museum opened by the company is one of the first in India.

  • Mattupatty Dam -

    A reservoir and popular tourist spot where boating is offered.

Thekkady :

  • Elephant Junction - Elephant Junction is where guests enjoy interaction with elephant that includes bathing elephant, elephant ride and being around playful elephants. Elephant junction is a huge hit with inbound guests and familiies with kids.

  • Spice farm visit - Spice farm visit is a popular excursion for guests in Kerala. The spices grown around the area include cardamom, cinnamon etc. alongwith vanilla, tea and coffee.

Munnar - Munnar is a premier hill station in Kerala. It is situated at about 6000 ft above sea level and surrounded by tea and Cardamom Plantations

Athirapally - Athirapally waterfall is local tourist attraction and a picnic spot. Athirapally is a good stopover enroute from Wayanad to Munnar or Alleppey
