Day 1 - Arrive at Rajkot and Proceed to Gir
(160 kms). Evening Safari at Gir Day
2 - More park Safaris. Spot Asiatic Lions, Crocodiles and Birds. Day
3 - Proceed to Diu Via Somnath (Jyotirlinga Shiva Temple) - 160 kms.
Relax Day 4 - Visit Different
Sightseeing spots in Diu (Such as Nagoa Beach,
Jallandhar Shrine, St. Pauls Church, Diu Museum, Diu Fort). Day
5 - Proceed back to Veraval (90 kms) for the Train or Bhavnagar (225 kms)
for the flight Extentions (1 night)-

Dwarka (Famous for Krishna temple
and a known pilgrimage centre) can be added in the itinerary, in which case first
point of access would be Dwarka (Train from From Ahmedabad, Mumbai etc.) or Jamnagar
(Flight from Mumbai) (148 kms from Dwarka). -
Palitana
Temples (Jain temple Complex located on
a hill visited from guests world over for its architecture and fine carvings)
can be visited (60 kms before Bhavnagar) en-route while coming back from Diu and
an overnight stay either at Adpur or Bhavnagar can be planned. Khodiyar temple
located
just at the outskirts of Bhavnagar
can also be visited in the same trip. -
If
Ahmedabad to Ahmedabad Itinerary has to be planned then a transit stay
at Rajkot (210 kms) can be planned in the beginning or a straight drive to Gir
can be planned from Ahmedabad (360 kms - 7 hours). From Diu, Ahmedabad is
400 kms (7-8 hours) with Bhavnagar as the recommended stopover option (If required). |
