The Gate House is a Neemrana group enterprise located at the entrance of Tranquebar (Tamilnadu, India) located near to the beach.

Tranquebar is a small sea side village on the outskirts of Karikal (Part of union territory of Pondicherry), known for its Shani temple.

Tharangambadi, 'dancing waves' in Tamil, was once a small village on the Coromandel coast in south-east India. In 1620, a Danish admiral, ambassador of  the King of Denmark, arrived here to study pepper  trade options. The Dances christened the village 'Tranquebar' and erected a distinctive Danish Fort, 'Dansborg'. In the 1690s many Danes bought houses in the area and gradually a small Danish township took shape, with a Tamil colony beyond.

Gate house situated just 5 mins walking distance from Neemrana's "Bungalow on the Beach" is an example of indigenous Tamil architecture with its red tiled roofs and courtyards surrounding, the Gate House rooms are designed to give a traditional feel.
