    The balcony was a part of Zeffirelli's film Romeo and Juliet in 1968, an adaptation of the famous Shakespearean play. Not from the fourteenth century, of course, but from the twentieth, when it was built and used for the love scene. You can get onto the balcony and take romantic pictures or pose like Juliet right from the movie. The balcony overlooks a tiny courtyard containing a statue of Juliet and the walls hold a number of graffiti, love messages to Juliet and a number of trinkets left by visitors here.
