Cella Septichora is an early Christian necropolis home to a series of decorated Roman tombs near Pécs. The UNESCO World Heritage Listed tombs are distinctive from other Roman tombs as they were built as underground tombs with memorial chapels built above on the ground. Most popular among the tombs is the Jug Mausoleum, a 4th century tomb that derives its name from a painting of a drinking vessel found on the tomb.
