    It is also known as the Munich Cathedral. This Roman Catholic Church was built in gothic style, designed by Jorg von Halsbach. It was consecrated in 1494. It has a renaissance feel to it with the domes dorning the top of the church. It is the tallest construction in the city and the view from one of the towers overlooks the city skyline. The architecture comprises of tall stain glass windows and majestic arches that hold the church ceilings. It is definitely worth a visit. Make sure you visit the king's tomb will decorated with etched walls; each having a significance of its own.

The Olympic Tower is 291 meters in height and is now open to visitors for observation. The tower also has a revolving restaurant that seats 230 people.     Wieskirche is an oval Rococo (late baroque style) church designed by Dominikus Zimmermann in the late 1740s in the Pfaffenwinkel region of Bavaria. This beautiful church with its intricately designed interiors is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The church is not only famous for its architecture but also for its religious significance. According to local legend, in 1738, tears were seen on a dilapidated wooden figure of the Scourged Saviour. In 1740, a small chapel was built to house the stature and between 1745 to 1754 larger church was built with its interiors decorated with frescos.

    Neuschwanstein is a fairy-tale type castle built by King Ludwig II. Disney took inspiration from this castle to build the Cinderella Castle for its famous fairy-tale. The king was known to be eccentric as he had a passion to build romantic castles on the mountains. Hence the monarch turned his friend and famous opera playwright, Richard Wagner's operas into reality. It is a two-hour ride from Munich by train and a few minutes by bus to reach here.     Hitler's Eagle's Nest is chalet like building built on the sub peak of the Hoher Goll. The Eagle's Nest was built as a 50th birthday present for Adolf Hitler as a tea house retreat and to entertain dignitaries. 3000 men toiled for over 13 months to build and complete this ambitious project in advance for Hitler's birthday. Perched on a mountaintop, the Eagle's Nest offers panoramic views of the Bavarian Alps. Today the Eagle's Nest is home to a restaurant and a popular tourist attraction.
