Padum - Hemis Trek is one of the most challenging trekking routes in Ladakh. Padum in Zanzkar Valley is one of the remote destinations in Ladakh.

The Trek passes through an isolated route through a typical ladakh rugged terrain with snowfed river crossing across 60-70 locations on the trek. The trek also takes through 3 mountain passes (all above 15000+ ft asl), narrow trails, difficult river crossings (In some places waist high snow cold water), narrow gorges and remote villages.

Trekking Route - Padum – Zangla – Zangla Sumdo – Char Char La – Taktok Sumdo – Tilat Sumdo – Zalung Karpo - Zalung Karpo La Base - Zalung Karpo La – Langtang Chu – Konka Wangpo La – Nimaling – Kong Maru La – Shang Sumdo

Padum - Hemis trek is done in Summer months (July – August) as part of a scheduled group. This trek is best suited for the very experienced and fit trekkers looking to rough it out in the most extreme and challenging habitat of all. Countryside conducts regular departures for premium trekkers for high quality trekking experience.
