Area around is covered with thick forest under the Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary.

How to Reach:

  • The nearest airport and railhead is Pune.
    Easiest way is to drive from Pune by road along the Pune - Nasik highway and turn off at Manchar (distance 65 Kms from Pune) at the road leading to Bhimashankar. Manchar - Bhimashankar distance is 68 kms.

From Mumbai route is - Mumbai - Kalyan - Murbad - Junnar via Malshej Ghat. The distance is about 260 kms.
