Orchha exploration as part of the Gwalior - Jhansi - Orchha - Khajuraho - Panna trip was an eye openor. What was a laidback heritage destination in 2005 (when we last explored) has now evolved into a vibrant getaway and a wedding destination. The monuments remain attractive, however its the areas around them that have got filled up and Orchha now wears more of a tourist destination feel (as compared to the totally offbeat character of 2005).
