Khajuraho exploration happened as part of our Gwalior - Jhansi - Orchha - Khajuraho - Panna revisit. Reaching Khajuraho in 2005 was an effort (due to bad roads), so tourist infrastructure was like an oasis. Khajuraho has been maintained and enhanced over the years to retain its native heritage character. Hotels were mostly the same, but all renovated and rejuvenated. So given a better access (Roads, Rail and Air), Khajuraho is poised to be a much more popular destination in times to come.
