Palazzo Pitti was built in the middle of the '400s by Luca Fancelli who wanted to show his power in front of the Family of Medici by building a magnificent Palace. The Pitti Palace rises on a large semicircular square and overlooks a beautiful garden. Today it houses many important Florentine museums, such as the Palatina Gallery (Raffaello, Andrea delSarto, Caravaggio, Bronzino masterpieces), the Silver Museum, the Modern Art Gallery and the Costumes Gallery.
