Mysore palace is one of the most famous tourist attractions in India after Taj Mahal with more than 2.7 million visitors. The architectural style of the palace is commonly described as Indo-Saracenic but it is a blend of many other architectural styles. The palace is surrounded by a large garden. The palace is 3 storied and entry fee is required to enter. Tourists are not allowed to take photographs inside the palace. Every autumn, the Palace is the venue for the famous Mysore Dasara festival with the elephant procession on Dussera day being the most sought after event.
