The Mahabaleshwar Temple, Gokarna is a Hindu temple located in Gokarna, a Hindu religious pilgrimage centre. The temple is considered as pious as the Shiva temple at Varanasi and hence is known as the Dakshin Kasi. Guests also visit Sri Maha Ganpati Temple, a Lord Ganesha temple within the Mahabaleshwar Temple premises which is also known as Sidda Ganapati. Devotees usually take bath in the Kotiteerth pond before they visit the Mahabaleshwar Temple for worship.
