Olappamana Mana – An Experiential Homestay
Olappamanna Mana is 200-year-old Kerala Brahmin house, which has a glittering cultural heritage in the field of Kathakali (classical dance form), Carnatic Music, Melam and Thayampaka (classical percussions), Literature and Rig Veda.
The Mana (house), set on 20 acres at Vellinezhi, a small village near Palakkad town in Kerala, Olappamanna Mana is an authentic heritage home where one experiences the authentic culture and heritage of South India. Here one also has an option to explore Kerala countryside and get a feel of the rural lifestyle.
Guests have an option of Kathakali Dance performance and can also learn here nuances of Kathakali as performing art form. Kalam Ezhithi Pattu, Melam, Kathakali and Thira performances are also available here on request. Classes for one/ two weeks for studying the basics of Kathakali can also be arranged
Guests are treated to Pure Vegetarian Home made Kerala Style meals. For those who are interested, cooking classes for Pure Vegetarian Kerala cuisine, sessions can be organised.
