The Hill Palace was built in the year 1865 by the Maharaja of Cochin and was opened to public as museum in 1986. It is the largest archaeological museum in Kerala with a heritage museum, a deer park, Children’s Park and pre-historic park. The campus of the museum has many rare species of medicinal plants. The Musuem is open to public on all days except Mondays
