Detailed Itinerary

Day-1 Arrive at Guwahati and Proceed to Kaziranga Arrive at Guwahati. Proceed to Kaziranga (200 kms - 4 hours)

Day-2 Morning Elephant Ride and Central Zone Safari. Evening Western Zone Safari Morning Elephant Ride and Central Zone Safari. Central Zone is a large area, best for wide rangng Wildlife and Bird watching. Evening Western Zone Safari. Western Zone is where one finds Rhinos at a very close range.

Day-3 Morning and Afternoon Safaris Eastern Zone Eastern Zone alongwith Central Zone area two large areas in Kaziranga, excellent for bird watching, elephant herds, Rhinos and where one undertakes Brahmaputra Boat ride. The area is about 20 kms from Central zone and therefore can take upto 4-5 hours. Return by afternoon Lunch time. Later afternoon visit to Plantations around for bird watching

Day-4 Travel to Nameri After Breakfast travel to Nameri (100 kms - 2.5 hours). Nameri is renowned for bird watching, rafting and one of the few Tiger sanctuaries where walking is allowed. Afternoon walk around the riverside area or do rafting.

Day-5 Activities and bird watching around Nameri Morning at 5:30 am take a walk through Nameri National Park (3 km). It is one of the very few National Parks where you can trek in the park. The trek begins as you embark on a boat to cross the breadth of the Jia Bhoroli river. Walk throught the river bed and into the National Park, the closest you can get to nature! Return to Resort for breakfast. Day free for leisure activities like rafting. Rafting (mild rapids) forms a day long adventure in a raft as you cruise along the waters of Jia Bhoroli river. The 2.5 hrs rafting will acquaint you with numerous birds. Later disembark at bank. Overnight in Nameri.

Day-6 Travel to Manas Proceed to Manas (7 hours). Reach by afternoon, Manas is second most popular park in Assam after Kaziranga, visited for its birdlife and wide ranging wildlife.

Day-7 Morning Evening Safaris in Manas Morning Evening Safaris in Manas National Park.

Day-8 Travel to Pobitora near Guwahati Travel to Pobitora (200 kms - 4.5 hour) near Guwahati (50 kms), renowned for its birdlife. Evening Safari at Pobitora.

Day-9 Departure Depart to Guwahati (50 kms - 1.5 hours) for onward journey.

Kaziranga :

  • Kaziranga National Park - Kaziranga is the biggest reserve in Assam and one of the best wildlife experiences in whole of India. Main Attraction of Kaziranga is one-horned rhinos. Kaziranga is also home to a large number of birds like crested serpant eagle, Fishing Eagles, Pelicans, Bengal Floricans, Jungle Fowl, Black naked stork etc.Kaziranga covers 430 sq kms and it consists of three ranges viz. Kohora Range, Bagori Range and Agaratoli Range. Kaziranga is one of the few parks where Elephant safaris are conducted.

Manas :

  • Manas National Park - Manas National Park is situated 176 kms from Guwahati. Manas is less mainstream in terms of National parks and is home to many rare species of Animals such as Pygmy Hog, the Hispid Hare and the Golden Langur and has wide range of bird population in Winter.

Nameri National Park :

  • Bird Watching and Fishing in Nameri - Nameri is visited ex-Tezpur (35 kms) covers an area of about 200 sq. kms.The park, with its hills of deciduous forests and the Jia Bhoroli river flowing through it, is a birders paradise, home to more than 300 species of birds. It also has a plethora of reptilian and insect life amd is also home to the Assam Roof Turtle, Multicolored butterflies and insects like the Lantern fly etc. From Nameri Guests can take up Mahaseer fishing trips (Golden Manaseer).

Pobitora :

  • Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary - Pobitora wildlife sanctuary on outkskirts of Guwahati is where one arrives for Jeep safari for sighting One horned Rhinos and wide ranging bird life.
