Detailed Itinerary

Day-1 Arrrive at Jabalpur and Proceed to Kanha. Evening Safari Arrive at Jabalpur. Proceed to Kanha (165 kms - 4 hours). Kanha is one of the best wildlife experiences in India and renowned for its Tigers and Barasingha Population. The park offers rich diversity of flora and fauna and renowned for its migratory bird watching in winter (Oct - Mar).Evening Safari in Kanha (Mukki or Kisli Range depends on stay selection).

Day-2 Morning and Evening Safari Morning and Evening Jeep Safari in Kanha National Park (Mukki or Kisli Range depends on stay selection). Elephant back Tiger Tracking (Tiger Show) can be availed if organised on the day of the travel.

Day-3 Travel to Amarkantak. Visit Temple Leave for Amarkantak (165 kms - 4 hrs). Amarkantak is a renowned pilgrimage for being the origin of Narmada River. Take a walk around the temple town and visit Narmada Udgam, Mai Ki Bagiya, Dugdhdhara.

Day-4 Proceed to Bandhavgarh. Evening Safari. Proceed to Bandhavgarh (200 kms - 5 hrs). Bandhavgarh National Park is renowned for being a park that offers best tiger sightings and therefore excellent for tiger photography. The Park also offers excellent range of flora and fauna and good for Bird watching in Winter. Evening Safari.

Day-5 Morning Safari. Proceed to Jabalpur via Fossil Park and Marble Rocks Morning Safari in Bandhavgarh. Proceed to Jabalpur (200 kms - 5 hrs) via Fossil Park. Before arriving at Jabalpur make a visit to Marble Rocks. Marble Rocks is an area near Jabalpur (25 kms) along a river having soft marble on both sides creating a beautiful gorge of about 3 km in length. Boating is offered in the river for guests to experience the Marble Rocks. Dhuandhar Waterfalls is also worth a visit alongwith the temple on the hilltop (reachable via Cable car ride). Reach Jabalpur by Evening. Jabalpur is a transit point for travellers getting in and out of Wildlife areas of Kanha (165 kms) and Bandhavgarh (200 kms).

Day-6 Departure Depart for onward journey.

Detailed Sightseeing

Amarkantak :

  • Narmada Udgam - Amarkantak Situated at an altitude of 1065 mt. at the meeting point of the Vindhya and the Satpura mountain ranges, Amarkantak is a pilgrim centre for the Hindus, and is the source of the rivers Narmada and Sone. Narmada Udgam is a temple built at the source of the Narmada - the holiest spot in Amarkantak.

  • Dudh Dhara and Kapildhara Waterfalls - Dhdh Dhara and Kapil dhara waterfalls are two small waterfalls but attractive waterfalls near Amarkantak. Dudh dhara requires 1 km walk.

  • Maa Ki Bagiya - A garden at 5 kms from Narmada Udgam. Here some medicinal plants are cultivated and are on display alongwith a fruit orchard.

Bandhavgarh :

  • Wildlife and Bird Watching in Bandhavgarh - Bandhavgarh is the best park when it comes to probability of having a tiger sighting. Besides the much celebrated and endangered tiger, the park is home to Leopards, Jungle cat, Wolf, Jackal, Indian Fox, Dhole or Indian Wild Dog, Sloth Bear etc. Bandhavgarh is also considered excellent for Bird watching and is home to more than 150 species.

  • Fossil National Park - The Ghughua Fossil National Park of Madhya Pradesh is a unique destination in India, which has been blessed with a priceless treasure trove of plant fossils. Fossils belonging to 31 genera of 18 plant families have been identified.These fossils represent life as it occurred in this area some 65 million years ago.

Jabalpur :

  • Marble Rocks - Marble Rocks are white rocks with views of black and dark green volcanic seams are unique and therefore well visited. A boat ride is popular with guests.

  • Dhuandhar Waterfalls - Narmada makes its way through the Marble Rocks narrows down and then plunges in a waterfall known as Dhuandhar. Its a spectacular site and there is a cable car ride that takes one all the way to the hilltop temple.

  • Chausath Yogini Temple - Impressive 10th Century Yogini Temple overlooking Marble Rocks and Dhuandhar waterfalls.

  • Fossil National Park - The Ghughua Fossil National Park of Madhya Pradesh is a unique destination in India, which has been blessed with a priceless treasure trove of plant fossils. Kanha :

  • Bird Watching and Wildlife in Kanha - Kanha is one of Indias most renowned parks and visited for its population of Tiger, Barasingha and a wide range of wildlife (deer (sambar, chital, and barking deer plus barasingha), as well as the antelope (nilgai, blackbuck, chowsingha) and the gaur are found alongwith langurs, sloth bears, and wild boar) and birds (200+ species resident and migratory). Guests either stay on Kisli or Mukki side and explore park via Jeep safaris.
