Day-1 Travel to Aurangabad via Nashik. Enroute visit Trymbakeshwar Temple near Nashik Travel to Aurangabad via Nashik. Enroute Visit Trymbakeshwar Temple near Nashik (One of the 12 Jyotirlinga Temples of Lord Shiva). Aurangabad is a renowned heritage destination visited for its proximity to Ajanta / Ellora Caves (UNESCO heritage site) and Grishneshwar Temple near Ellora (One of the 12 Jyotirlinga Temples of Lord Shiva).

Day-2 Visit Ellora Temple, Grishneshwar Temple, Bibi Ka Maqbara, Panchakki Visit Ellora Temple (40 kms), Grishneshwar Temple (near Ellora Temple), Daulatabad Fort, Bibi Ka Maqbara (Taj replica) and Panchakki (Watermill).

Day-3 Ajanta Excursion Excursion to Ajanta Caves (120 kms - 2.5 hours 1 way). Evening time permitting visit local markets for shopping.

Day-4 Proceed to Shirdi. Enroute visit Shani Shinganapur Temple Proceed to Shirdi (144 kms - 3.5 hours). Shirdi is a renowned Saibaba pilgrimage and one of the most visited temples in India. Enroute visit Shani Shinganapur Temple, a renowned pilgrim centre having a temple dedicated to Lord Shani (Saturn).

Aurangabad :

  • Panchakki - 17th century water mill at 1 km from Aurangabad. Panchakki is renowned for its underground water channel, that traverses more than 8 kms.

  • Bibi Ka Maqbara - Situated about 3 kms from the city is Bibi Ka Maqbara, the burial place of Aurangzebs wife, Rabia-ud-Durrani alias Dilras Banu Begum. It is an imitation of the Taj at Agra and due to its similar design, it is popularly known as the Mini Taj of the Deccan.

  • Daulatabad Fort - Daulatabad is a 14th century fort at 16 kms from Aurangabad. Daulatabad was often referred to as Impregnable fort. Muhammad-bin-Tughluq succeeded the Khiljis at Delhi and seeing impregnable fort of Daulatabad, shifted the capital from Delhi in A.D. 1328. Daulatabad is a popular tourist visit option.

  • Ellora Caves - Ellora is set at about 30 kms from Aurangabad and is a World Heritage Site. Ellora represents the best of Indian rock-cut architecture. The 34 caves are structures excavated out of Charanandri hills. Buddhist, Hindu and Jain rock-cut temples and viharas and mathas were built between the 5th century and 10th century. There are 12 Buddhist, 17 Hindu and 5 Jain caves. It is a protected monument under the Archaeological Survey of India..

  • Grishneshwar Temple - Grishneshwar Temple is set near Ellora and is recognised as one of the 12 Jyotirlinga Shiva Temples.

  • Shani Shinganapur - Shingnapur is renowned for its Shani Temple popularly known as Shani Shinganapur Temple. It is renowned for the fact that no house in the village has locked doors. Despite this, no theft is reported in the village

  • Ajanta Caves - The Ajanta Caves are a set of 30 rock-cut Buddhist cave dated from the 2nd century BCE to about 480 or 650 CE. The caves include paintings and sculptures that represent Buddhist religious art, with figures of the Buddha and depictions of the Jataka tales. Ajanta Caves is a UNESCO World heritage site

  • Shirdi Saibaba Temple - Shirdi Saibaba temple is located at the heart of the Shirdi town and houses the samadhi (burial site) of Sai Baba. Shirdi is one of the most visited temples in India and now an international renowned pilgrim centre for devotees of Saibaba.
