Mumbai - Alibaug(2) - Mumbai
Day-1 Arrive at Alibaug. Visit Nagaon beach in the evening for Watersports. Arrive at Alibaug. Evening visit to nearby Nagaon Beach, an idyllic beach stretch with coastal village around it where watersports are offered (Waterscooters, Banana boat ride etc.)
Day-2 Local sightseeing or Kashid Excursion Guests with interest in seafood may opt for a seafood meal at a local restaurant. Others with interest in sightseeing may opt for an excursion to Kashid (35 kms - 1 hour). Enroute guests can take a detour to visit Birla Ganesh Temple. There are number of temples in and around The Alibaug - Kashid route and therefore guests may choose to visit them enroute as well. Prominent local sighseeing options includes Karmarkar Museum and Kankeshwar Temple. Guests with no interest in sightseeing or exploration may just choose to relax and enjoy a quiet stay with a beach walk in the evening.
Day-3 Departure Depart for onward journey.
Alibaug Beach - The Alibaug beach is the main touristy beach closest to the town. Beach is not good for swimming. The Kolaba fort, a sea fort can be seen from here and is situated in the centre of the beach and can be visited when the water dries up.
Nagaon Beach - An idyllic beach front and an area that offers coastal village feel. Watersports are available on the beach.
Kankeshwar Temple - Kankeshwar temple is a lord shiva temple at 13 kms from Alibaug. The temple is built on a 1000 feet high hill and to get to the temple one has to climb few hundred stairs.
Karmarkar Museum - Karmarkar Museum is where some works of Padmashree VP Karmarkar has been stored at Sasvane near Alibaug.
Birla Ganesh Temple - A white granite Lord Ganesha temple in the premises of Vikram Ispat. Temple is visited by tourists, pilgrims and locals all through the year.
Mumbai - Mumbai is financial capital of India and a major International airport, second only to Delhi in terms of flight connectivity. Mumbai is a major business hub for trade in Asia and a transit point for others destinations in India such as Goa, Kerala, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
Alibaug - Alibaug is the closest beach getaway to Mumbai, accessible by a ferry ride (ferries operational Oct-May) across the gateway of India in South Mumbai.
