Day-1 Arrive at Palakkad. Village visit. Arrive at Palakkad. Palakkad is a green getaway on the Kerala - Tamilnadu border on the foothills of the Western Ghats and home to homestays that offer wide ranging experiences for experiential travellers.Visit a village to see toddy tapping. Thereafter visit a family of Astrologers. Guests also have an option for a bicycle ride through winding roads in the countryside. Enjoy ethnic cuisine Dinner.
Day-2 Full day excursion to Kerala Kalamandalam and Elephant Camp at Punatthur A full day excursion to visit Kerala Kalamandalam (The seat of Kerala's Art and culture (1.5 kms)) and spend some time there. Kalamandalam imparts training in classical dance and theatre forms like Kathakali, Mohiniyattam, Kudiyattam, Thullal, Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, and Nangiar Koothu, besides the traditional orchestra called Panchavadyam. Training is also given in various percussion instruments like chenda, maddalam and mizhavu. On return visit Elephant Camp in Punnathur Kotta (40 kms - 1 hour). This Elephant Camp is one of its kinds in the world and is considered to be one of the largest elephant sanctuaries housing around 60+ elephants.
Day-3 Departure Depart to Coimbatore for onward journey.
Coimbatore - Coimbatore is the second largest city in state of Tamil Nadu and a major textile and engineering hub. The plantation areas Coonnor and Valparai and hill station of ooty and kodaikanal are accessible from here.
Palakkad - Palakkad is the last city in Kerala before entering Tamilnadu (55 kms from Coimbatore) and home to some Ayurveda resorts and homestays.
