Detailed Itinerary

Day-1 Arrive at Cochin. Proceed to Fort Cochin. Evening Walk around the Heritage Bylanes. Visit Greenix Village. Arrive at Cochin and Proceed to Fort Cochin (45 kms - 1 hr). Fort Cochin is a charming heritage corner of Cochin visited for its heritage character, Arabian Sea views, Chinese Fishing nets, charming heritage bylanes and heritage hotels. Evening Walk in heritage bylanes of Fort Cochin visiting Church and Jewish Synagogue. Visit Greenix village for evening performances of traditional dance forms of Kerala.

Day-2 In and around Fort Cochin Visit Kumbhalangi area to experirnce rural lifestyle with backwater character. In the afternoon take a boat trip to neighboring Islands (Vypeen and Bolgatty) In the evening explore Fishermen at work using Chinese fishing nets. Evening Dinner at one of the charming restaurants in a heritage hotel in Fort Cochin.

Day-3 Proceed to Marari. Evening Walk on the beach.  Proceed to Marari (50 kms - 1 hour). Mararikulam is a beachside destination (Popularly known as Marari) offering guests idyllic beach destination experience. Its close proximity to Alleppey (20 kms) gives it a dual character where guests are able to explore the backwaters while staying on a beach. Evening walk on the beach. Guests who like seafood may ask for "Catch of the day" and enjoy some fresh delicacies.

Day-4 Half Day Backwater Cruise. Morning walk on the beach to see Fishermen return with their catches. Half Day backwater cruise in backwaters of Alleppey to take a peek into backwater villages and their lifestyle. Upon return relax on the beach or visit Pathiramal Island for Bird watching in evening (1.5 kms boatride from Muhamma).

Day-5 Departure Depart to Cochin (75 kms) for onward journey.

  • St Francis Church - St Francis Church is a tourist attraction at Fort Cochin. It was built in 1503 and is the oldest European church in India

  • Jewish Synagogue Fort Cochin - Jewish Synagogue at Fort Cochin was built in 1568 and is the oldest synagogue in the Commonwealth of Nations.

  • Kumbhalangi Backwaters - 10 kms from Fort Cochin are a set of backwaters overlooking Kumbhalangi village, a fishermen village having 100+ chinese fishing nets.
