Day-1 Arrive at Cochin. Proceed to Alleppey. Take country boat through small village canals. Arrive at Cochin and proceed to South Alleppey (75 kms - 2 hrs) for a backwater homestay. Alleppey is a renowned destination Kerala offering Backwater experience. Alleppey gives Kerala the name "Venice of the East" and visited specifically by experietial travellers for its unique homestay experience by the backwaters. In afternoon take a country Boat through the small village canals.
Day-2 Visits and experiences in and around the area Morning check out the traditional paddy harvesting. Look at process of tapping toddy, a local alcoholic drink taken from the coconut trees. Visit the local pottery factory. Visit the ancient Bhagawati temple or the 1000 year-old Saint Mary's Church.
Day-3 Departure Depart to Cochin (75 kms) for onward journey.
