Detailed Itinerary

Day-1 Arrival at Bangalore and proceed to Hassan Arrival at Bangalore. Proceed to Hassan (200 kms - 4 hours). Hassan is base point to visit Hoysala era Halebid and Belur temples, renowned for their heritage character and architecture. Visit Halebid and Belur and return to Hassan by evening.

Day-2 Proceed to Mysore via Sravanbelagola. Afternoon visit to Mysore Palace. Travel to Mysore via Sravanbelagola (130 kms - 3.5 hours), Jain Pilgrimage centre. Mysore is a renowned tourist destination and popular with heritage travellers with Mysore Palace being the main attraction. Sightseeing tour of Mysore visiting Mysore Palace, Chamundi Hills, Nandi Bull Temple, 150 years old Jaganmohan Palace.

Day-3 Sightseeing and Excursions In around Mysore Proceed for local sightseeing such as St. Philomena's Church. Excursion to Somnathpur heritage Temples (50 kms).

Day-4 Travel to Nagarhole. Evening Safari. Proceed to Nagarhole (80 kms - 2 hrs). Nagarhole (Rajiv Gandhi National Park and Popularly known as Kabini) is a major Wildlife destination renowned for the bird watching and wildlife experience it offers. Evening Safari in Nagarhole.

Day-5 Morning Safari and departure. Morning Safari and Depart for Bangalore (230 kms - 5 hours) for onward journey.

Hassan :

  • Hoysaleshwar Temple Halebidu - Hoysaleswara temple is a 12th century Lord Shiva temple in Halebidu. Temple has been restored and is a major tourist attraction for its temple architecture. Visited by International traveller all round the year.

  • Chennakesava Temples Belur - The Chennakesava Temple is a riverside temple in Belur, erstwhile capital of the Hoysala Empire. Chennakesava is a form of Hindu God Vishnu and the temples are renowned for its temple architecture and visited all round the year by international travellers.,

  • Sravanbelagola - Shravanabelagola is home to statue of Gommateshvara Bahubali and is one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in Jainism, The statue is set on a hill and requires climbing several hundred steps.

Mysore :

  • Mysore Palace - Mysore palace is one of the most famous tourist attractions in India after Taj Mahal with more than 2.7 million visitors. The architectural style of the palace is commonly described as Indo-Saracenic but it is a blend of many other architectural styles. The palace is surrounded by a large garden. The palace is 3 storied and entry fee is required to enter. Tourists are not allowed to take photographs inside the palace. Every autumn, the Palace is the venue for the famous Mysore Dasara festival with the elephant procession on Dussera day being the most sought after event.

  • St Philomenas Church - St. Philomenas church in Mysore was constructed in 1936 using a Neo Gothic style and its architecture was inspired by the Cologne Cathedral in Germany. It still remains a tourist attraction.

  • Jaganmohan Palace - Jaganmohan Palace is a palace in Mysore (1861) and was initially used by the Wodeyars, kings of Mysore as their home before the grand Mysore Palace came up. It is now converted into an art gallery and a function hall. The art gallery contains one of the largest collection of artefacts in South India (2000+). Some of the paintings are those by Raja Ravi Varma. Paintings different Indian styles of painting such as Mysore, Mughal and Shantiniketan.

  • Chamundeshwari Temple - The Chamundeshwari Temple is an ancient Devi temple (12th - 17th Century) located on the top of Chamundi Hills. The temple is impressive from an architectural sense and considered a pilgrimage destination being considered one of the 18 main Shaktipeetha temples.

  • Sravanbelagola - Shravanabelagola is home to statue of Gommateshvara Bahubali and is one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in Jainism, The statue is set on a hill and requires climbing several hundred steps.

Nagarhole :

  • Nagarhole National Park - Nagarhole (popularly known as Kabini") represents one of the best park experiences in India. Coracle ride, elephant training camp visit & elephant ride, boat ride, Jeep safaris comprise some of the activities in and around the park area.
