Detailed Itinerary

Day-1 Arrive at Mangalore. Proceed to Dharmasthala and Subhramanya temples Arrive at Mangalore. Proceed for Dharmasthala (62 kms - A renowned pilgrimage visited for Manjunatha Swamy Temple) and Subramanya (130 kms from Mangalore, ahead of Dharmasthala, renowned Pilgrimage of Lord Murugan / Subramanya). Overnight at Subhramanya.

Day-2 Sringeri Mutt via Horanadu and proceed to Kollur Proceed to Sringeri Mutt (Sringeri Sharada Peetham renowned pilgrim centres built by Lord Shankaracharya). Enroute visit Horanadu Annapoorneshwari. Reach Kollur (110 kms from Sringeri) by late evening. Kollur is a renowned pilgrimage visited for its Mookambika Temple.

Day-3 Mookambika Darshan and travel to Udupi via Murudeshwar. Temple visits at Udupi Morning Darshan at Mookambika temple and proceed to visit Murdeshwar Shiva Temple (50 kms), a renowned Lord Shiva pilgrimage overlooking Arabian Sea. Return to Udupi by afternoon to visit Udupi Krishna Temple and other temples in the area.

Day-4 Departure Depart to Mangalore (60 kms). Enroute visit Shri Durga Parameshwari Temple, Bappanadu (30 kms). Depart for onward journey.

Kollur :

  • Mookambika Temple Kollur - Temple of Mookambika Devi is one of the Seven Muktisthala pilgrimage sites in Karnataka. Mookambika temple is very significant in south India and visited especially for Vidhyarambha a ceremony / ritual for the initiation of children into literary world (before they start schooling).

Subhramanya :

  • Kukke Subramanya - Kukke Subramanya is a Hindu temple located at 130 kms from Mangalore. The temple is one of the pristine and most visited pilgrimage centres in South India. Here Lord Subrahmanya is worshipped as the lord of all serpents.

Udupi :

  • Sri Krishna Udupi Temple - 13th Century Sri Krishna Udupi temple is a major Krishna pilgrimage centre and around which entire temple town of Udupi and its economy is based. Surrounding the Sri Krishna Matha are several temples, the most ancient being made of basic wood and stone of 1,500 years origin.

  • Bappanadu Durga Parmeshwari Temple - Bappanadu Durga Parameshwari temple an 800 year old temple that is set on a riverside md-way between Udupi and Mangalore just off NH-17. It is a well visited pilgrim centre locally and regionally.

  • Moodbidri Jain Pilgrimage - The Thousand Pillars Temple is one of the most famous and holy shrine of Jains in Moodbidri. It also has Guru Basadi which houses the treasured Dhavala text. There are other Basadis, namely Ammanvara Basadi. Leppada Basadi, etc. There are several Jain temples in Moodbidri.

  • Murudeshwar Temple - Murudeshwar Beach is characterised by a huge towering statue of Lord Shiva, part of the Murudeshwar temple complex. It is the third highest statue of Lord Shiva in the world. This is build on a rock face and is nothing short of a man made wonder. The temple adjacent to the statue is also equally imposing that includes a 20-storied 237 ft tall Gopura.

  • Horanadu Annapoorneshwari Temple - The Annapoorneshwari Temple at Horanadu is major temple that pilgrims visit on the banks of a river surrounded by thick forests and valleys of the Western Ghats.
