Detailed Itinerary

Day-1 Arrive at Delhi. Proceed to Chandigarh. Evening Darshan at Mansadevi Temple Arrive at Delhi. Proceed to Chandigarh. Evening Darshan at Mansadevi Temple (Panchkula)

Day-2 Travel to Chintpurni via Naina Devi Proceed to Chintpurni, Enroute visit Naina Devi temple, a renowned pilgrim centre on a hilltop that requires pilgrims to take cable car from the base of the hill. Reach Chintpurni by afternoon. Visit Chintpurni and Jwalamkuhi Shaktipeetha Temples. Visit Chintpurni Temple, dedicated to Chinnamastika Devi and one of the Shakti Peetha temples. From here proceed to Jwalamukhi (32 kms), a renowned pilgrimage centre where an eternal flame burns and is believed to be manifestation of the Goddess.

Day-3 Chintpurni - Jwalamukhi - Katra From Chintpurni Proceed to Katra (260 - 6 hours).

Day-4 Vaishnodevi Darshan Early morning start for Vaishnodevi climb (Total 13 kms walk to the temple that takes about 4-5 hours). Enroute stops at Adhkwari Temple and darshan at Baba Bhaironath Temple is recommended). During Summer and peak travel season it may be advisable to start the climb previous evening. Once queue tickets are purchased the wait period could be half an hour to 3 hours depending on the rush. During season Yatra Parchi (entry tickets required to beging the uphill walk), it is recommended to purchase in advance to avoid delays. Guests looking for Helidarshan (Helicopter ride, darshan and back), morning flights are recommeded for best weather and least uncertainity. Return by late evening.

Day-5 Katra - Chamunda Devi via Kangra Depart for Palampur via Pathankot (270 kms - 6.5 hours). Enroute visit Vrajeshwari Temple at Kangra (Shaktipeetha Temple) and Chamundadevi temple, a renowned pilgrim centre in the Kangra valley near Palampur.

Day-6 Palampur - Kalka visit Kalika Devi Temple Travel from Palampur to Kalka to visit renowned Kalika Devi Temple in town centre. Enroute visit Baijnath Temple

Day-7 Return to Delhi Via Sarhanpur visiting Shakumbhri Devi Temple Return to Delhi Via Sarhanpur visiting Shakumbhri Devi Temple (330 kms - 7 hours), a renowned Shaktipeetha Temple and a regional pilgrim centre

Chamunda Devi :

  • Chamunda Devi Temple - Just 24 km from Kangra and 15 km from Dharamshala is the famous temple of goddess Chamunda Devi (Chamunda Nandikeshwar Dham). The temple complex offers view of Dhauladhar, the Baner Khad and Dadh. A vast running water pool houses the statues of Lord Shiva and Saraswati. A trek of about 16 km up in the Dhauladhar ranges is the ancient temple of Aadi Himani Chamunda

  • Vajreshvari Temple - Heart of Old Kangra Town is Vrajeshwari Temple, one of the Shaktipeetha temples and visited alongwith Chintpurni and Jwalamukhi Temple as a part of Devi temples.

Chandigarh :

  • Mansa Devi Temple - Mansa Devi Temple, Panchkula (10 kms from Chandi Temple) is one of the most visited temples in the area. The temple complex is spread over 100 acres.

  • Naina Devi Temple - Naina Devi Temple is situated on a hilltop at about 60 kms North of Chandigarh overlooking the Gobind Sagar lake. The temple is connected with National Highway No. 21 and accessible via a cable car ride from the base point. Naina Devi Temple is significant regionally and is a well visited temple throughout the year. Naina Devi Temple is also widely regarded as one of the Shakti Peetha.

  • Shakumbhri Devi Temple - Shakumbhri Devi Temple near Sarahanpur (40 kms) is a renowned local pilgrimage visited as part of 9 Deviyaan circuit and is one one of the 51 Shatipeetha Temples

Chintpurni :

  • Chintpurni Temple - Chintpurni Temple is a major Shaktipeetha Temple dedicated to Goddess Parvati. Here the Goddess is worshipped in the form of a stone lingam.

  • Jwalamukhi Temple - A unique temple with no idol where devotees worship eternally burning and shining blue flame worshipped as a manifestation of the goddess. It is considered one of the Shaktipeetha Temples.

Kalka :

  • Shakumbhri Devi Temple - Shakumbhri Devi Temple near Sarahanpur (40 kms) is a renowned local pilgrimage visited as part of 9 Deviyaan circuit and is one one of the 51 Shatipeetha Temples

Katra :

  • Vaishnodevi Temple - Vaishnodevi is one of the most visited temples in India. Its accessible via a 13 kms arduous climb or on a palanquin or via a helicopter ride.
